those of you who use the douglas bridge. ddot will be shutting down the bridge to all traffic each night this weekend. the first closing starts at 11:00 tonight. it's going to reopen at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow. it will close at 11:00 p.m. on saturday and 8 p.m. on sunday. and this is to do repair and rehab work on the bridge. >>> oh, boy, patranya bhoolsuwan, you have been looking at the roads and it's been heavy out there. >> oh, boy is right. as you can see behind me, a lot of yellow and yesterdays and you know what that means, no one is going above the speed limit on the west side of the capital beltway. zoom in with the live picture over the american legion and that goes to show you a lot of cars out there. especially on the outer loop approaching the toll road. looking at a 10 to 15-minute delay still. for virginia drivers, moving south onion 395, jammed up, as well. washington boulevard past duke over to the mixing bowl and south backlick to triangle. it is top and go all the way but no accidents out there. that's the good

earlier today it was fainting manufacture less to the east of us. now everybody is pretty much in the bull's eye. east of i-81 across its d.c. area, across 95 and across into the delmarva, we're talking two, three, four, five and even six inches of rain, seven inches locally. we'll give you some totals. over 5 inches in culpeper. 2.5 downtown. 5 inches in cambridge and 4- inches in easton. so this is going to be an event across the metro area and up into new england, believe it or not. next seven days, upper 70s tomorrow. heavy rain. the heaviest rain will be in the morning and clearing out on friday and the coolest air of the season rolls in on saturday, sunday and monday. 9 news now continues right after this. stay tuned. my dad is the supervisor of a train station and my mom's a teacher. my dad's an auto technician. my mom's a receptionist. i'm not sure i would have been able to afford college without the tuition freeze. while tuition in other states is rising out of reach... governor o'malley made the tough choice to freeze tuition. he made my d
